This mood board shows how I wanted my artist to be portrayed, and the emotion I wanted my audience to feel when actually listening to the track itself, without the visuals of the video. The three artist that are spread across the mood board are the three main artist that our artist Jo.EY aspires to be like as they are well known for their original and iconic music. They portray a similar emotion just like Jo.EY does they feel the story behind the lyrics that the speak. The other pictures used are pictures of emotions and each picture represents a base in the story line of the song system, emotions and feelings of anger, rebellion and even unity. These are all elements that we want the audience to understand by also feel, and to feel like they can relate to the video, but more importantly the lyrics.

Audience Research/Questionnaire Video Answers
The response shows us that people get their music in many different ways from the radio, to online and would pay various prices based on how much they like the artist, on whether it was a single or album. The concept that they had of the video before it was made was that it was going to be a narrative and performance video based on the lyrics and the title of the song. The song is aimed at this age group and they both had a different concept of what the video should of been about, and how it should of represented the artist.

This gives the audience a deeper insight on the artist and who he really is. In the time from when we decided to use Jo.EY he has been sponsored by Gumball3000 an american music company, and has written up-coming lyrics for a new set of video's and album. Jo.EY is building bases in his life to change who he is and is a real young urban hip-hop/grime artist in the music game trying everything in his power and determination to become big.

We used this questionnaire as a way of trying to find out what type of music people listened to, and what they thought of our track. In some ways the questionnaire was good as it allowed us to see what music people listened to, but a lot of people were unaware of what type of genre the track was, as we actually saw our track as a new way of the 'British Invasion' music genre. With our track having a mixture of beats which could be classified under a few genres confused some of the responses that we got verbally from people, but that was our whole idea on why we used a track like that as it can be interpreted in so many different ways.

History Of Hip-Hop/Rap.
There are currently so many definitions on what the word Hip-Hop means to many people, but relatively people are likely to state it's rejecting of rhymes to the best of music. It's a form of expression that finds its roots imbedded deep within ancient African culture and oral tradition. Rap became popular because it offered unlimited challenges, there were no set rules, except to be original and to rhyme on time to the music. Anything was possible in the world of hip-hop. The ultimate goal in the hip-hop/rap world was to be perceived as being 'def(good) but ones peers. Rap, because of it's inclusive aspects allowed one to accurately and efficiently inject their personality. Rap continues to be popular among today's urban youth for the same reasons it was a draw in the early days. It is still an accessible form of self expression capable of eliciting positive affirmation from one's peers. Rap has evolved to become such a big business, it has given many the false illusion of being a quick escape from the harshness of inner city life.
Target Audience.
Before creating a promotion package we had to think about what our target audience would like, or the ways in which we could identify our target audience, so that all of our collected material was suitable for us but also us as well. We were always working around the hip-hop/grime genre, due to our artist Jo.EY making a variety of songs before our song system came out we were able to identify what type of audience he already had from his previous songs, and could use that as a base to create a tighter and loyal audience. His main target audience seemed to be from ages 15-24, then having to have a main focus on what they saw as a 'typical' hip-hop video, and using some of those conventions to create our own classic video. The target audience help to mould many things from the music video, to the advert and even the album cover.
